When I uploaded my book I noticed that my pdf contained an extra page that I would like to delete. Can this be solved by simply deleting the original pdf file in the Directory Tree and uploading the new version? If so, will all the other files also be updated? Or do I have to delete all the files and then upload the new pdf file?

Oh. I deleted all the files in the Directory Tree and uploaded a new version of the pdf, thinking that the other files would be generated again. Not so?

the derive task is launched automatically only when the item is first created. if you change files you would need to start it manually. i did it this time. for future reference the clickpath from the item details page is:
Edit item > change the information > Item Manager > click the "derive" button.

Yes, I figured it out. Clicked on the "derive" button and found out that the task was already initiated. Thanks! A little wiser every day ;-)
